About NIRC

NIAID Influenza Research Collaboration (NIRC) - is a National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) sponsored clinical trials group, dedicated to finding new treatments for seasonal and pandemic influenza. The Division of Clinical Research (DCR) plays an integral role in facilitating efficient and effective implementation of NIAID research for influenza.

The influenza studies of the NIRC group are conducted at research sites around the world. Currently sites from Argentina, Australia, Mexico, Thailand, and the United States are participating in NIRC influenza trials.

MISSION: To support rapid response research for influenza that will identify new drugs and therapies to expand available treatment options.
